From 1954, the Club began to hand over "Oscars" to belgian
Chefs. Since 1996 the Club awards two prizes. The "Prix Cristal" rewards the
best Belgian chef that the Club visited during the previous year, the other,
the "Chef de l'Avenir," is awarded to a talented young chef, also visited during
the year preceding the Award ceremony. This latter prize replaces since 2017
the "Prix de Haute Gastronomie."
